Two Wisconsin 12-year old girls stabbed their “friend” 19 times because they read about a mythological demon called “The Slender Man” online. The “friend” survived the post-slumber party stabbing attack and was like, “Um, it was those two bitches.”
The girls were on the website CreepyPasta, which in addition to being the dumbest name for a website ever is also home to a wiki-like collection of urban myths and ghost stories. How old do you feel right now that you totally didn’t even know about creepy pasta? You are so embarrassing.
And now, let’s spend all day reading about The Slender Man.
Personally, I’m inclined to think that these two homicidal 12-year old girls are just dreadful, screwed-up tweens and they’re using a nerdy horror website as an excuse for being violent bitches. Harry Potter did not make you attack anyone. That said, I’d need a visual on these ladies to determine whether or not they actually believed the things the read on a site called Creepy Pasta. If the kneif-weilding girls are wearing One Direction tank tops and texting, they do not believe in the Slender Man. If they cut their own hair and read for pleasure, then maybe they do.
