Did you read about this 80-year old woman in Los Angeles who 1. had a heart attack, 2. was pronounced dead by a sham doctor, 3. woke up in the morgue freezer trapped in a dead person box, 4. broke her nose, severely injured herself, and flipped her 80-year old body around trying to escape, and 5. died in the freezer? Because it is scaring the shit out of me.
What would you do if this happened to you? How long did it take? How incredibly, horrifyingly scary for this poor woman! The hospital is like, “She was already dead” and her family is all, “Um, she didn’t go in the freezer upside down with a broken nose. Lawsuit!”
There are so many cases of people being pronounced dead and then coming back to life, I’d like to incorporate some system to insure this doesn’t happen to me. You know, I was on a ghost tour in Savannah, Georgia with my Uncle Bill and we learned that bodies were once buried with bells tied around the deceased’s toes. In case they came back to life, someone posted at the graveyard would hear the ringing, hence the term “graveyard shift.” Neat! Creepy! I wonder how many bells rang? And how many were heard? Should this sham hospital incorporate such a rudimentary plan, since their grasp of modern medicine doesn’t seem to be as firm as one might hope?
In terms of scariest ways to die, being assumed dead and frozen in a morgue box ranks up there, right along with Manson-type home invasion, lengthy plane crash, or shark attack. Your scariest ways to die in the comments, please!
