Grandma And Grandson Fall In Love And Naturally, Decide To Have A Baby

Here’s hoping this story on the UK’s SkyNews is Weekly World News-esque, but it’s from Indiana (Eve’s home state, as I love to remind you), so anything is possible.

The story originated in New Zealand’s New Idea Magazine, which looks similar to an US Weekly and whose cover currently proclaims that Kate Middleton is pregnant with twins. The original article has apparently been taken down from New Idea Magazine. Now, the tale of Pearl and Phil has reached the bottom of the barrel here at SND, so you know… it might not be accurate. Still, it’ll make you feel better about your life choices, even if it is made-up.

And now, some quotes from 72-year old Pearl and 26-year old Phil, Indiana grandmother and grandson who are madly in love and paid $54,000 for a surrogate to have their baby:

“I’m not interested in anyone else’s opinion. I am in love with Phil and he’s in love with me. Soon I’ll be holding my son or daughter in my arms and Phil will be the proud dad.”

“From the first moment that I saw him, I knew we would never have a grandmother-grandson relationship. For the first time in years I felt sexually alive.”

“I called Phil into my bedroom, sat him on the bed, and then I leant over and kissed him,” she added. “I expected rejection but instead he kissed me back.”

Phil revealed: “I wanted to kiss her there and then. My feelings were overwhelming. I love Pearl with all my heart. I’ve always been attracted to older women and I think Pearl is gorgeous. Now I’m going to be a dad and I can’t wait.”

These statements don’t sound like the sort of thing a Whiskey Tango Indiana incestuous multi-generational couple would say. It’d be more like, “I ain’t realized he was my kin till I seen the birthmark. We all got the same one. But by then, I figured aw hell with it.”

Your hottest relative in the comments please. JUST KIDDING!

Nine years after my dad died, my mother married his cousin. Making me, by marriage, my own second cousin.

So I can’t really throw shade.
