Meet the Best New Local Time-Wasting Website Ever
February 11, 2014, Scott Lucas
If you ever wanted to know what it sounds like to be in a newsroom without the filters, you can get a good sense of it from the new website, Slow News Day, by Eve Batey (the editor of the San Francisco Appeal and former lead editor of SFist) and Beth Spotswood, a culture writer for the Chronicle (and sometimes us too). It’s filled with the kind of hysterical headlines that the rest of us would love to take credit for writing, like: “Clay Aiken Thinks He’s Running for Congress (!)”, “Coke and Rat Pee”, and our favorite, “Meet Chile’s Hottest Gynecologist, Rico Swab-bay”.
